Recently, Paul and I have been keeping busy with all sorts of things. I've been able to help out on the farm, just a little bit, and Paul has been busy with work. Last week was a really fun week. We went bowling with a group of young adults from church and it was a lot of fun! (and expensive!!!!! hokey smokey! It was $20 each for 2 games) I guess entertainment is a little more pricey over here as well. But, we still had a good time! Then last week Saturday we had a Farewell Party for one of our friends from church. (I know we just met him! And now he's leaving!!) He and another one of his friends are going over to America for a few years. One is going to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, and the other to the Southern Baptist Seminary School in Louisville. They are both leaving beginning of August, and we are definitely going to miss them! If anyone back home would like to take a Kiwi out to lunch or dinner when you are in either of those areas, let us know and we can hook ya up! They'd love it! Anywho, the farewell party was a blast because it was a theme party to "Civil War: North vs South" (one was going North and the other South get it?) So that was kindof interesting being the only Americans at the party. We didn't have any costumes so I just dressed in the good ole' Red, White, and Blue. I have a pretty neat American Flag hat, that I usually don't wear in public, but I just had to wear it, and I think it was a hit!  :)
This week has been pretty relaxed, but exciting at the same time because we are getting new calves everyday! Which means that next week I will probably start working full time! The little calves are soooo cute! I still need to take some pictures of the little buggers, but I haven' got around to it yet, so, pictures WILL be coming soon! Last night (as many of you probably saw on facebook) Paul surprised me and took me to go see HARRY POTTER! I was shocked, AND to top the night off, he got me popcorn and pop, I didn't even ask for it!! Oh, what an amazing husband I have. (many of you probably don't understand the hugeness of this date.....1. paul hate's harry potter 2. we don't spend money on movie theaters 3. we definitely never buy popcorn or pop 4. paul really doesn't like harry potter) So it was a big deal...and it was a fun night!
I know, I know, I need to grow up, but I can't help it that it took 10 years for all these movies to be completed!!!! It's kindof sad (for me that is, I think Paul is rather excited), all of my childhood novels are finally coming to a close. First Harry Potter, and in November the last Inheritance book comes out (FINALLY....). Really, if any of you decide to become authors, please don't drag out your series, it's not fun. Seriously, I think I started in Middle School! But I guess I will be all done with these series and then I can move on to bigger and better things right?!? RIGHT!

Oh, and I know many of you know this, but WE'RE HAVING A BABY! So, I guess it's a good thing, I'll be all grown up by the time baby gets here....maybe.... :)  Little Baby Windemuller should be making it's grand entrance in February! So a summer baby!!!! (at least for here!) We could use lots of prayers for figuring out all the little detail things about having a baby in a different country, but so far, everything is going smoothly!!!!! Thanks for all your support and prayers! We love you and miss you all!!!!!

Whoa! Sorry for the long pause in updates. (WARNING: This post could be rather long...sorry, I'm a rambling sanguine when it comes to telling stories...And I don't feel like editing this yet, so please ignore the mis-spellings and horribly written material...lo siento) So, last weekend Paul and I traveled to a BEAUTIFUL city called Queenstown. We were definitely looking forward to a beautiful, relaxing, vacation. However, things just don't always go as you plan...ya know?
Anywho, the drive to Queenstown was beautiful! You have to travel through so many mountains, and the sights are really just incredible. (refer to Lord of the Rings if you're wondering what type of views we saw) So, we were taking in God's beautiful creation when we entered a place called Lindis Pass which is short for "Middle-Of-NO-Where," and I have this inkling that God just wanted us to STOP and really enjoy his creation even more. Now, those of you who have ever ridden with Paul in a car, realize he doesn't usually stop when he has a destination on his mind...which he did. However Paul vs. God, and God won. So our car overheated in the middle of no where and we were able to better enjoy the beautiful mountains. To make a long, long, long  story short, we got it started, then it stopped, got it started, filled it with some water from a nearby stream, then it started, then it stopped.....all the way down to Queenstown. Oh did I mention while getting some water from the stream, I walked into a thorn-thing....and had about 4 holes in my face, which wouldn't stop bleeding....we truly looked like winners on the side of the road, in the middle of nowhere. It was great. We got to stop (forcefully) at a couple of vineyards and a cheesery on the way down and got some peppered gouda cheese (yum), and water for our engine...
Anyway, we made it to our hotel, brought it to a mechanic, and a few hundred dollars later, it was fixed! Woo Hoo!
So we were able to relax at our hotels, tour around Queenstown, see some AMAZING views of the mountains, and go into some shops. One of the mountain ranges around Queenstown is appropriately named "The Remarkables" and they truly were remarkable. We also went to a place called Glen0rchy which was a neat little village. (P.S. many different parts of LOTR was filmed here) The drive to it was BEAUTIFUL, as the road twisted along Lake Wakatipu for many kilometers. (I'll post some pictures below) Queenstown is a great destination for skiers and snowboarders, due to it surroundings by many massive mountains. However, there wasn't much snow on them when we were there, and only one ski resort was open with only 20 cm. of man-made snow on it, probably not the best skiing conditions, but people were skiing none the less!! We stayed at a resort one night, it was more like a village, and we found out it had just opened a week before we got there! That was pretty neat because everything was so new, and the staff was super accommodating and really friendly, so that made it even more fun! I can't not talk about the breakfast, because the breakfast was so amazing...we seriously spent about 3 hours just eating breakfast (well we had books, and a computer there too....but, it was so yummy).  We left that Saturday, after the great breakfast, because we were heading up to visit some friends from church who have a cottage on Lake Pukaki, which has a view of Mount Cook from their cottage (beautiful....) so, on the road we went!
We were driving and having a grand ole time when we arrived to none other than Lindis Pass, remember Lindis Pass....Middle of Nowhere, no cell phone service, cars going by only once in a while?? Well, we made it to Lindis Pass, and BAM! Engine overheats again....lovely, just dandy. :) Anyway, we chugged it, stop and go stop and go, stop and go, all the way to a city at the end of Lindis Pass and when we recieved cell phone service, quickly called our friends, explained the situation and they offered to come down and get us. The mechanic at this town said we only needed some kind of stuff to put in our engine that stops leaks??? (sorry I have no idea what it was... Paul's sleeping so I can't ask him what it was called....not like you care that much...ok, anyway...) so we bought that, gave the car a bit of a rest, and it started back up again, amazingly. Let me just say, that truly, the only way we made it to that town, was by PRAYER! Our car died just as we got to the gas station which had a "breakdown service" it was the first thing after Lindis Pass. It was crazy!
Continuing on...so our car started, and we decided to keep going, we really didn't want to leave our car in some far away city, so we almost made it to their cottage, but not quite, and decided to have a cup a tea, and hang out at their place while we let our car cool down on the side of the road. We had a wonderful time there, and the view was incredible!! It was a beautiful log cabin with massive windows so you could see the whole entire view of Mount Cook and the Lake. After tea we went back to our car, filled it with more water and it started again! Our friend Peter rode back home with us (we warned him I swear!) so that made the trip home a lot more enjoyable. It definitely kept us more positive and helped us to laugh at the situation. And to make a long story short again, we got to our car and chugged it along, on a prayer, to just past Geraldine, which is about 45 min. away from Ashburton (our town), we called Peter's brother and he came and picked us up from there. PHEW! Vacation over! (the next day we ended up towing it home with the help of Trish and her daughter Lauren, and brought it to a mechanic in Ashburton, and he determined it wasn't worth fixing....lovely)
So, that was our trip, sorry for the expansive detail, but I'm writing this also for my own sake in remembering this rather funny story. It's so crazy how God worked through it all. I mean, REALLY, we don't have that many friends in New Zealand, and yet these friends from church were there and so willing to help us in any way. And how did we make it from Queenstown to Geraldine on a shot, overheated engine???? There were so many instances throughout that trip where we should not have been able to go any further, however we made it, and were able to get our car back to Ashburton!  So, now we are back in the market for a car, and we won't be getting a Subaru!

The long tow-ride home....Great picture to end the weekend...
To update from this past week, everything is going great, Paul is enjoying working of course, and even I was able to start cleaning some calf equipment in the afternoons. It was nice to get out of the house and do some work.  It was fun, but rather smelly. (milk left in a hose for a year, doesn't really smell the best, nor is it easy to clean out!) No fireworks here for the Fourth of July :( but I made some sugar cookies and decorated them like flags to celebrate of our countries independence! Woo Hoo! Haha, below is a funny picture of our neighbors pet sheep, Lamby. We opened our door to head to church on Sunday morning and here was Lamby, he had eaten most of the flowers in my flower pots, pooped all over our porch and decided to lay on top of Paul's gum boots. What a cutie...kindof. Well, this update is getting a bit long, and if you made it this far, you deserve a medal! So thanks for reading, and I'll update soon with some more pictures! Love you and miss you all!!!!

Oh Lamby, how little we would be entertained if you weren't here....look at him he's so innocent.

    Verse of the Week

    2 Corinthians 12:9
"But he has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." John 3:16-17
