Whew! Well it has been almost 2 months now since we have arrived back in the states and life has definitely sped up for Pax and myself! Paxton is now 5 months old!! Can you believe it? He is growing right before our eyes and is so sweet! I'm still a bit biased and believe he may be the best baby on the face of the earth....really, any future kids for us will have HUGE shoes to fill in the "being a good baby department." I guess God knew that we would need a very relaxed and easy going kid with all the changes going on in our lives at this moment, and God's plans are always the best! Here are some basic updates of the last two months on a few different things!
Paxton:
-5 months old!!!! Not sure about weight and height....we haven't been to the doctor since we've been back here, eek! I need to get on that!!!
-He is rolling over ALL the time...especially in bed which was a bit annoying at first because he would get stuck on his belly and sit there crying, waiting for me to come in and flip him over....hmmm...thankfully he knows how to fall asleep on his tummy now
-everything goes directly to his mouth, doesn't matter what it is--hair, fingers, arms, legs, toys--if it's within his reach...it's going in his mouth
-He just started playing Peek-a-boo and it's adorable...ok I know, everything he does I consider adorable...but what can I say?
-We started rice cereal the other day, but I'm not very consistent with it...oops--bad mom award. He seems to like it but can't quite figure out how to keep it in his mouth.
-He went underwater for the first time during our time up at Grandma and Grandpa Windemuller's Cottage..The facial expression was priceless :) He loves going in the water...as long as it's not too cold--sounds like his Mom :)

What we have been up to:
-Going to parades, going to local parks with family, enjoying the cottage, swimming at the Windemuller's pool, relaxing, reading, being shocked by our super cheap grocery bill, praying for rain, living at my brother's, hanging out with family, haying, helping family move, baking cookies, singing, celebrating friends weddings, delivering hay, watching our son grow at an unusually fast pace, visiting farms in Missouri, praying for some more rain, hanging out with friends, meeting with farmers and so much more!!!!!
What a joy it has been to be back in our home town and be able to hang out with our friends and our family. Paxton loves being surrounded by little kiddos and we love having the support and friendship of all our family close by.
We are really starting to miss everyone in New Zealand. Our friendships that we made there are such a blessing to us and miss them dearly!!! We have been able to visit with some of our friends while they were visiting the States, and we have another friend coming in a couple weeks!!!! I wish New Zealand were closer and not a 2000 plane ticket away :( I cannot wait to go back and visit with everyone! We also truly deeply miss our Church home in Ashburton. God had lead us to such a wonderful church with outstanding leadership and a strong community--some we may not see here on this earth again, and others we will--but what a day of celebration it will be when we see them all in Heaven again!!!
We will try to update soon as to what the future holds for us, but currently we are praying on just that! God bless you all as you enjoy your summers here in the states, or your winter in New Zealand! (It's hard to believe calving season is starting again...ahh!!!!!)

Hi--I'm Brttany!  I'm a follower of Christ Jesus--our only Savior, a wife to my best friend, and a mommy to the handsomest little kiwi I know! Here I will try to fill in family and friends about what is going on over here in New Zealand!

    Verse of the Week

    2 Corinthians 12:9
"But he has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." John 3:16-17
