Last Night we went to a community wide Christmas Carol singing held at one of the Catholic Churches. We sang lots of great Christmas Carols and it was really neat to be in a place with all different denominations singing praises to Jesus the same way we do back home. Soon we got to Carol 6 and the words were slightly different than I remember....here it is. Jingle Bells written by a Kiwi Pastor from the area.

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh,
Sounds like fun to do,
June, July or May.
But winter it is not,
And there is no Snow,
All the roads are melting tar
And Bar-be-cues aglow.

Oh! Jingle Bells, Jingle bells,
Jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to come to a joyful
Christmas Day,
Christ is born, Christ is Born
That is what we say
When we come to celebrate
Our Summer Christmas Day.

There's no open sleigh,
The sun will shine so hot;
Presents we will give
Show we love alot.
Lots of cards are sent,
Telephone's gone wild,
It is the birthday of our Lord,
The coming of The Child.

Jesus Christ was born,
It happened long ago;
Mary was the Mum,
Son of her and Joe',
Special Child was this,
Son of God was He,
To bring true Light and Love and Hope,
To guide both you and me!

Well, I'm back in New Zealand!
Going home was one of the most awesomest (is that a word?) gifts anyone could have given me! So Thank you Thank you Thank you to Paul and the many members of my family who bought me that trip!!!!! I am so blessed and so grateful to you all! Going home was filled with lots of family and friends time and catching up with so many people! I knew right after I arrived home, it would be difficult to leave all my family behind again. I am so grateful for all the time I could spend with so many of you, and I'm so sorry that I didn't get a chance to spend more time with more of you--but we'll be home again in June! And, a special thanks goes to my sister and her husband for letting me invade their house for over 3 weeks you guys are the best :) I hope you enjoy having your living room back!
Coming back to New Zealand was full of mixed feelings. It was sad to leave behind family and friends, especially knowing that the next time I would see most of them in person again, I'll have a 4 month old!!! Yikes!!! It was sad, but also exciting--in a way. I was super excited to see Paul again, and I think he's glad to have his wifey back :) And I'm excited to see what God has in store for us during the next 6 months in New Zealand. Paul is busy on the farm, but things will be slowing down now that all the A.I. is done and mating season is almost over. He's been learning so much and is already making more contacts back in the U.S. for future employment opportunities. That is another thing to be excited about! We would appreciate all your prayers during this time--for us to follow God's direction of where He wants us to be. He hasn't led us astray yet, and I pray He will make His plans vibrantly clear to both of us as to where He wants us and who He wants us to be.
Not much has changed here in New Zealand since I left. APPARENTLY they had some really hot and beautiful days....but I have yet to see it since my return :) Besides just being fatter and hungry more often, things are going well for me and baby. Baby is still moving like crazy (no I'm not exaggerating), and all my clothes are getting tighter.  Lovely. Only a couple more months and we'll be able to meet this little cutie squirmer! Hopefully, if my loving sister sends me some pictures of my trip back home, I'll post a few on here! Thanks for reading and Merry Christmas!!!!!!

Just thought I'd show you all how big my little Tarzan has gotten--I think Paul might have done TOO good of a job taking care of him :)

Hi--I'm Brttany!  I'm a follower of Christ Jesus--our only Savior, a wife to my best friend, and a mommy to the handsomest little kiwi I know! Here I will try to fill in family and friends about what is going on over here in New Zealand!

    Verse of the Week

    2 Corinthians 12:9
"But he has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." John 3:16-17
